INDUSTRY NEWS: Changes to SunOpta's Quebec Sales Coverage

SunOpta President and Founder David Chapman has announced some changes to the Company's Quebec sales coverage to provide better services to retailers and vendors. The new sales coverage will commence on March 29.

To our retailer and vendor partners:

We are making some very positive changes in our Quebec sales coverage to provide better services to you, our retailer and vendor partners.
As some of you know, SunOpta has a distribution business in Quebec called “Aux mille et une saisons” (http://www.auxmilleetunesaisons.com/). Aux mille has an excellent reputation for service with retailers and vendors in Quebec, as well as extensive sales coverage with their 16 reps/supervisors, exclusively calling on Quebec retailers. As they are a sister company of ours, we have entered into an agreement
with them to be our sales force for Quebec in the health food and grocery channels. With our new partnership with Aux mille, we expect to be able to provide you with a higher level of service in all aspects of our business.

The Aux mille sales team will be taking orders from customers, dealing with returns, and planning promotional activity as required. Purity will continue to ship the product as well as handle all invoicing and collections. The overall management of our business in Quebec will be led by Denis Courchesne, who has 6 years of experience with Purity Life, managing our Quebec business. Denis will work closely
with Aux mille, ensuring that all of the needs of the retailers and vendors are met. Sylvie Ouellet will remain with SunOpta; however, she will now become an Aux mille employee with the responsibility of managing a select group of Purity’s accounts in Montreal, as well as be involved with training the Aux mille sales team in Purity’s products.

We will launch our new sales coverage starting March 29, and shortly thereafter you will be dealing with your Aux mille rep for Purity orders and promotional activity.
